Psilocybin-assisted therapeutic services are now legally available in Colorado. As of summer 2025, the state has finalized rules and regulations for regulated access to psilocybin mushrooms, and licensed facilitators are able to provide services within licensed healing centers.
Camila Pastor, LCSW completed her 150-hour facilitator training and supervised practice with Fluence Training. With a natural medicine training license, she is now able to offer psilocybin mushroom facilitation services in her office at a DORA-approved center.
Proposition 122 also decriminalizes what is called "personal use" of psilocybin mushrooms. This means that it is no longer a criminal offense under State law to grow, possess, or ingest psilocybin mushrooms. Persons may also share or give away psilocybin mushrooms without remuneration (i.e., without payment) to persons who are at least twenty-one years of age.
What makes our work together meaningful isn't just the process itself—it's the care and intentionality we bring to it. We take time to truly understand who you are, to explore what matters most to you, and to thoughtfully co-create a path forward that honors your unique experience.
Psilocybin-assisted therapy
Psilocybin-assisted therapy involves administering psilocybin in a professional, supportive setting with a trained facilitator or therapist who provides psychological support throughout the experience.
In clinical studies focused on treatment-resistant depression, researchers have found that psilocybin therapy produces significant and rapid antidepressant effects in patients with major depressive disorder, with no serious adverse medical events reported. Other studies have observed long-term increases in positive mood, life satisfaction, social connection, and health-supportive behavioral changes following guided sessions.
Early research suggests potential benefits for severe depression, PTSD, addiction, OCD, and anxiety related to terminal illness. While research continues to evolve, psilocybin-assisted therapy is increasingly recognized as a promising approach for emotional healing, personal growth, and overall well-being when conducted safely and ethically under trained professional guidance.
Who Psilocybin May Help
Psilocybin experiences can be profoundly meaningful for a wide range of individuals, particularly those seeking greater emotional balance, self-understanding, or relief from long-standing patterns of psychological and physical distress.
Psilocybin therapy serves as a tool for both healing and growth, supporting individuals working through specific medical or psychological conditions, as well as those who wish to explore personal development, creativity, spirituality, or deeper insight without a defined diagnosis.
Research and clinical studies suggest psilocybin may support people living with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, grief, addiction, chronic pain, and existential or spiritual distress related to illness or major life transitions.
Emerging research also points to potential benefits for individuals navigating end-of-life anxiety, burnout, chronic stress, or unresolved trauma, as well as those who feel disconnected from purpose, creativity, or self-compassion. Psilocybin work can complement practices like meditation, therapy, and integrative health approaches by fostering a greater sense of presence and perspective.
While experiences and outcomes vary, participants often describe the process as one of renewal, clarity, and emotional release—a reset that allows new insight and self-compassion to take root. Many also report feeling a greater sense of connection to themselves, others, and the larger natural and spiritual world, along with an expanded capacity for empathy and openness.
When approached responsibly and integrated with ongoing care, psilocybin therapy can open a doorway to meaningful change and inner healing.
How Does Psilocybin Therapy Work?
Step 1: Initial Consultation and Screening
Begin by completing our interest form, which serves as the first step in assessing your readiness and fit for our psilocybin therapy services. We'll then reach out to schedule a therapist consultation to learn more about your reasons for seeking treatment.
You'll undergo a formal screening process to ensure psilocybin therapy is appropriate for you. This screening typically takes one to three sessions, depending on the complexity of your needs.
Step 2: Prepare for the Journey
If the screening indicates you're a good candidate for psilocybin therapy, you'll begin the preparation process with your therapist. These sessions focus on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a safe container for your psychedelic work.
During preparation, you'll explore your intentions for treatment in greater depth. Your therapist will discuss expectations and help you navigate outcome-oriented thinking to approach the experience with openness.
This phase ensures you feel physically, mentally, and spiritually prepared for your psilocybin session, and confirms this treatment path aligns with your mental healthcare needs. You and your practitioner will discuss all aspects of psilocybin and its potential effects, addressing any questions about the experience and integration process.
Step 3: Administration Session
You'll receive the psilocybin medicine in a safe, intentionally curated setting with your therapist present. The session lasts six to eight hours, and you'll be guided through the experience with care, presence, and compassion.
Step 4: Post-Session Integration
Following your psilocybin experience, you'll have a follow-up integration session with your therapist (included in the administration session price and required by state regulations). This meeting provides a safe space to unpack and process your journey and begin exploring how to integrate insights into your daily life.
Step 5: Ongoing Integration and Therapy
We recommend continuing integration sessions to support the process initiated during your administration session and ensure the insights from your journey are honored and processed. Active integration may last anywhere from a few sessions to a year or more, depending on your individual needs.
